"Without the Blackstar HT-5, my sound wouldn’t have the clearness and the character I always look for in an amplifier.
All guitars in “Murther” go through this marvelous head and get captured by several microphones in different positions.
The result is a tone I’m really satisfied with, just perfect for the Deva music genre, especially for this new album’s flavors.
It’s the first time that all the distortions are exclusively obtained through the amplifier only, except for a boost pedal that I use in some solo: I basically prefer to keep the dynamics of the pick unaltered, so to preserve the sound with no compromises, in order not to lose a tone-quality, which isn’t obviously reachable with any amplifier.
Even next to guitar tracks obtained with 100-watt amplifiers or more, the 5 watts of my HT-5 turn out to be absolutely stunning."
