DEVA - Murther - Review on ROCK HARD
ROCK HARD ITALY
Score: 8/10
Undoubtedly, the local gothic scene is growing in a staggering way and, by listening to new Deva album, we understand why; Deva have definitely potential to wallop far better known international bands. Following their great debut album €Between Life and Dreams€, the band reaffirms to be a top band with the release of €Murther€, a work whereas the classical elements of the melodic-symphonic trend finds their sublime perfection. What really makes the difference, as per their previous album, is the amazing vocal performance of the young soprano Beatrice Palumbo, skillfully supported by the band, which anyway stands out for technique and performing. The final result of such synergies is an album which highlights the dramatic streak of the band, able to offer the same intensity and theatricality both in the fast parts and the situations whereas romanticism and poeticalness prevail: each of the tracks on the album is a potential single, filled with emotions and fascinating awesomeness.
