 Max Gabin with Mia Cooper is the new project of ex Gabin’s Max Bottini and Mia Cooper, a singer who since “Third and Double�, the third Gabin studio album, became a crucial member of the band. Should we talk about a new album by Gabin? Not really, but there’s a lot of those fifteen fantastic years with Gabin and of the contribution that Gabin gave to the music world, becoming one of the most representative acts on the international electro lounge scene.

Max Bottini’s music is international to such an extent that not many people, not even in our country, knew that Gabin were from Italy. This internationality is markedly emphasized on the Max Gabin with Mia Cooper project.
In fact, several years ago Max moved to New York and, by chance, so had Mia after years spent in Italy. Hence, a new collaboration between them was almost inevitable.
Mia had landed in Italy years before to study at university and here she also started her artistic career. Among her most important collaborations, there are the Italian star Pino Daniele and Gabin.
Her work with Gabin gave life to some crucial pearls, such as “So Many Nights�, “Keep it Cool�, “Lost and Found� and “Ready, Set, Go!�, which became the signature tune of the ABC show “Dancing with the Stars� in the States.
Max Bottini, an excellent bass player who worked with jazz superstars such as John Scofield and Billy Cobham, among others, focused his own career on Gabin from 2001 in order to make them what they have become on the international music scene: 4 studio albums, 3 collections, concerts all over Europe, charts in 5 continents and one of the leading electro lounge bands.
Two years ago, the break-up of Gabin prior to his move to New York, which only recently became official, led Max to immediately begin the first steps of his solo career.
Taking advantage of Mia’s presence in New York, he came up with the idea to create a new duo.
The writing of the new songs came as smoothly as drinking a glass of water, fast and clear.
The album “Keep on Drivin'� winks at the world of movies, with tracks like “Don’t Go�, originally written for Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece, “Django in Chains�, but also “Keep on Drivin'� and “Everything's Changed�, just to name a couple.
A special note should be added for “Dinner (Cooking Song)�, which is easy to imagine on a cooking or food show, and is musically close to “Bang Bang to the Rock 'n Roll�, Gabin’s smash in terms of synchronizations. "Bang Bang" was recently adapted and re-sung by Max Bottini, who also sang the original song, and is being be used for the second year in a row for Fox Sports’ "Daytona Day" event.

“Keep on Drivin'� is an eclectic album, the first act of a project by two great artists who will become a landmark.

Possiamo parlare di un nuovo album dei Gabin? Non proprio, ma c’è molto di quei fantastici 15 anni e dell’apporto che i Gabin hanno dato alla musica diventando uno dei gruppi più rappresentativi della scena electro lounge internazionale.
La musica di Max Bottini è talmente internazionale, che non molti, neanche nel nostro paese, credevano che i Gabin fossero italiani.
Questa internazionalità, nel progetto Max Gabin with Mia Cooper, diventa ancora più palpabile.
Max, da qualche anno si è infatti trasferito a New York e, guarda caso, anche Mia Cooper, dopo tanti anni trascorsi in Italia, è tornata nel suo paese natale, scegliendo New York.
Da lì, il passo per la nuova collaborazione tra i due, è stato brevissimo.
Mia, era arrivata in Italia anni fa per gli studi universitari e qui ha iniziato anche la sua carriera come cantante.
Fra le sue collaborazioni più importanti, senz’altro spiccano il lavoro con Pino Daniele e i Gabin.
La collaborazione con i Gabin ha dato vita a singoli tuttora fondamentali come “So Many Nights�, “Keep it Cool�, “Lost and Found� e “Ready, Set, Go!� che è stato la sigla di "Dancing with the Stars" in onda sulla rete televisiva americana ABC.
Max Bottini, un bassista eccezionale che ha lavorato con jazzisti del calibro di John Scofield e Billy Cobham, dal 2001 ha dedicato la sua carriera a rendere i Gabin quello che sono diventati a livello internazionale: 4 albums di studio, tre raccolte, concerti in tutta Europa, classifiche in 5 continenti e uno dei gruppi leader nel mondo electro lounge.
Due anni fa, lo scioglimento dei Gabin, diventato ufficiale solo di recente, e il trasferimento a New York, hanno spinto Max a cominciare da subito il lavoro per continuare la carriera artistica in proprio.
Poi approfittando della presenza di Mia a New York, l’idea di creare un nuovo duo.
La stesura dei nuovi brani è nata come bere un bicchiere d’acqua, veloce e limpida.
L’album “Keep on Drivin'� ha strizzato un occhio al mondo del cinema, con brani come “Don’t Go� scritto in origine da proporre a Quentin Tarantino per il film capolavoro “Django�, ma anche “Keep on Drivin'� ed “Everything Changes�, solo per citarne un paio. Una nota particolare per “Dinner (Cooking song)� che non potrà non essere utilizzata per qualche show legato alla cucina e al cibo, ma musicalmente vicina a “Bang Bang to the Rock’n’Roll�,campione in termini di sincronizzazioni e recentemente ricantato da Max per il secondo anno di fila utilizzato da Fox Sports per il Daytona Day.

“Keep on Drivin'�è un album eclettico, primo atto del nuovo progetto di due grandi artisti che sicuramente lasceranno il segno.
